Singapore Ministry of Manpower Service Design

In a service design course, we entered a competition to redesign the Services Centre for Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MoM) at 1500 Bendeemer Road. After many trips interviewing the Services Centre customers and prototyping various ideas, we decided to introduce new touchpoints that provide efficient and targeted service, as well as clear direction to enable self-help. Our final concept consisted of a redesigned layout for the Services Centre's gallery space, redesigned brochures, and an electronic check-in kiosk to help customers navigate without needing assistance from MoM employees.

We tested the concept with visitors by creating a mock kiosk interface and having them try it on an iPad. We also created a final video to explain the concept (screenshots of the video pictured below).
